Charcot neuroarthropathy (CN) is a progressive and destructive osteoarticular disorder seen in patients with peripheral neuropathy. It manifests as either painful or insensate joint and bone degeneration, typically affecting the lower extremities, where protective sensation is compromised. The pathophysiology involves repetitive microtrauma and impaired healing, leading to architectural collapse and joint instability.
