A legacy of dependability. A reputation built on trust.

Stryker’s nailing portfolio is the result of over 30 years of continuous innovation and clinical history. We are committed to innovation and putting more options in our customers hands to help you improve patient lives.

Streamlined instrumentation

  • One core basic tray is used for all T2 Alpha and Gamma4 indications for platform consistency and ease of use

  • Instrumentation that is designed to improve ease of use

Stryker Orthopedic Modeling and Analytics (SOMA) designed nails, analyzing more than 40,000 3D models made from over 6,000 CT scans of diverse patient populations across age, gender, and ethnicities to address anatomic variability and accommodate patient anatomy.1,2

  • Analytical resources developed and maintained by an experienced engineering team, including anatomical measurements, density assessments and fracture heatmaps.

  • Internal SOMA comparative assessments derived from computer-based anatomical modeling found that Stryker femoral nails have a better fit compared to competition.1 These findings may not be indicative of clinical performance.

Length Dependent Radius of Curvature

features-soma-image

Mismatch of the ROC of the femur and nail is a key factor in potential anterior femoral cortical perforation, as has been confirmed in multiple studies.4,5,6 The Gamma4 long nail, T2 Alpha Retrograde nail and T2 Alpha Antegrade nails change curvature dependent on nail length. This is designed to accommodate patient anatomy.1

Advanced Locking Screws

features-Advanced Locking Screws
  • Designed with oversized threads that engage with the internal threads on the T2 Alpha and Gamma4 nails, helping to limit relative motion between nail and screw while maintaining bicortical purchase.10

  • Designed to reduce toggle up to 50% compared to T2 locking screws.8

  • May be preferred in instances when axial stability is desired.9

Guided Targeting

features-targeter-image
  • T2 Alpha and Gamma4 platforms aim to provide surgeons with a reproducible and consistent procedure for distal locking screws.3,11

  • Designed to improve accuracy to reduce the risk of nail damage (titanium implants may fail early at regions with high stress concentration – notch sensitivity).12

  • A Gamma3 clinical study showed 64% reduced flouroscopy time when using guided targeting compared with the freehand locking method of perfect circles.3

Active Intraoperative Controlled Compression

The amount of compression that can be achieved depends on the indication used

  • Femoral Nails (Retrograde and Antegrade GT/PF): 10mm
  • Tibia: 7mm
  • Humerus: 6mm

Internal Compression

Achieved by using an internal compression screw and driver to apply controlled compression on the locking screw

external-compression-image

External Compression

Achieved using a compression driver that engages with internal threads of the nail to facilitate compression.
