Biosteon is a composite of hydroxyapatite (HA) and non-crystalline poly-L-lactide (PLAA).
HA/PLLA composite is biologically inspired and shown to be biocompatible and clinically safe with 5 years follow up.1
Ergonomic design, unique laser band and multiple options in size, needles and suture load allow surgeons ease and flexibility in repair techniques.
More predictable resorption and remodeling of the HA/PLLA may allow for longevity of repairs.1
