Stryker’s LIFEPAK 35 monitor/defibrillator has been awarded a Bronze International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). The IDEA program recognizes products that blend innovation, user experience and visual appeal—and the LIFEPAK 35 stood out among global submissions in the Medical & Health category.
Designed for first responders and emergency care teams working in unpredictable and high-pressure situations, the LIFEPAK 35 was developed through close collaboration between engineers, industrial designers and clinical stakeholders. Customer feedback played an important role—from ergonomics and screen layout to portability and ease of decontamination. The result is a device that helps first responders and clinicians deliver advanced monitoring and defibrillation with confidence in the moments that matter most.
According to IDSA, the jury recognized the LIFEPAK 35 for its “thoughtful details and clear prioritization of user needs”—a reflection of Stryker’s commitment to human-centered design. This award builds on a legacy of innovation across the LIFEPAK portfolio and reinforces the power of listening to the people who use our products every day.
