Our suppliers

Our focus centers on engagement with suppliers who share Stryker's commitment to quality and integrity.

We seek and support strong relationships with a diverse group of suppliers who operate ethically and lawfully with an emphasis on accountability for their people and performance.

Supplier ESG

Our suppliers play an important role in supporting our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities and we engage with them through third-party ESG assessments and ratings. The results of these assessments guide us in identifying priority impact areas where we can work with our suppliers to build upon their own ESG capabilities and performance.

Learn more about our progress in this area in our Comprehensive Report which can be found in our CR hub.

Conflict minerals

We support the responsible procurement of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold (3TG) that may come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding nations. We maintain a Conflict Minerals Policy and provide updates on these efforts in our Conflict Minerals Reports filed annually with the SEC, the most recent copy of which can be found in our CR hub.

By the end of 2027, Stryker will engage suppliers on ESG performance assessments with the goal of covering 85% of our direct spend.

Supplier code of conduct

Strict adherence to our supplier code of conduct is required for any supplier doing business with us. Our supplier code of conduct communicates our expectations for suppliers in key areas including:

  • General business and ethics
  • Human rights
  • Labor and employment
  • Health, safety and the environment
  • Intellectual property and data

Supplier diversity

As we strengthen our global supply chain, we’re focused on creating a competitive advantage by working with suppliers who reflect the diversity of our employees, the communities where we work, and the patients and caregivers that our products impact. Specifically, we are committed to increasing representation of minority-, women-, veteran-, disability- and LGBTQ-owned businesses and small businesses. Within these groups, we work to identify highly qualified suppliers that are agile, innovative and responsive, which helps us move faster in new product development and accelerate value to our customers.
