New program aims to address risks associated with healthcare worker injury

Nurses are at the frontlines in the battle to provide the best possible patient care. But many are overworked, stressed, and hurting. Sage’s new program provides products and services to support healthcare systems on their journey to eliminate healthcare worker injuries.

Pain shouldn’t be a part of the job

“We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new program, the Journey to Zero healthcare worker injuries,” said Brandon Gwin, Manager, Downstream Marketing. “Our customers face many day-to-day challenges in the current healthcare environment. We believe care providers shouldn’t have to risk their physical safety to deliver quality care.”

Building a culture of safety

Healthy bedside nurses are critical to delivering excellent care and improving patient outcomes. Building a culture of safety starts by addressing injury risk. The Sage Journey to Zero program provides nursing staff with a safe way to reposition patients and promote early mobility with the Sage Prevalon Turn and Position System (TAP) 2.0. In addition to our quality products, the program offers a range of services including:

  • Assessments and benchmarking
  • Ongoing education and leadership workshops
  • Utilization and outcome tracking

The goal of Sage’s Journey to Zero program is to help improve the health and safety of healthcare workers in hospitals throughout the country. More information on the program is available here.
