Designed for the relief patients have been waiting for

If your patient is experiencing low back pain caused by a herniated disc, disc decompression may be a treatment option.

How it works

Disc decompression is typically performed on an outpatient basis with local anesthesia. This may help alleviate the possible complications of general anesthesia with open surgery.1 For patients who want a minimally invasive alternative to surgery, this procedure may be an option for your patient.

Benefits of the procedure

  • Significant pain relief2,3
  • Reduced use of pain medication2,3
  • Improved function for normal daily activities2,3
  • Defined amount of disc material removed2,3
  • Quick recovery: 3-5 days, generally1
  • Low complication and morbidity rates4
  • Performed with local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Studies have shown a low rate of complications with percutaneous discectomy versus open surgery1

Please see Instructions for Use (IFU) for a complete listing of warnings, precautions and adverse events.

Study results have reported a 90% patient satisfaction rate with outcomes of lumbar discectomy procedures.5 In addition, studies have also shown a low complication rate associated with disc decompression.2,3,6
