Join us for a discussion on how to successfully implement evidence-based strategies to reduce the risk of patient handling injuries for the healthcare worker. 

Objectives: 

- Identify risk factors for Patient Handling Injuries. 

- Identify strategies and equipment for safe patient handling. 

- Discuss evidence that supports recommendations for safe patient handling. 

Presented by Susan L. Salsbury OTR/L, CDMS, CSPHP 

Susan L. Salsbury OTR/L CDMS CSPHP is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has over 35 years of experience in clinical and employer-based environments and has developed and implemented occupational rehabilitation programs in both settings. Susan has presented programs locally, statewide, and nationally on transitional work, ergonomics, and safe patient handling to health professional groups.
