Total understanding of the arthritic ankle
IncompassBanner_v3 800

Not just our next innovation.

A new understanding.

Incompass isn’t just our next advancement—it’s a reimagining of the arthritic ankle, built from the ground up with surgeon insight and real-world data. Every decision was driven by the goal to reinvent what’s possible for total ankle care—streamlining workflow, expanding intraoperative flexibility, and enabling surgeons in their pursuit of improved patient outcomes.

Intentional design.

Shaped by data unique to Stryker

The implants were designed using SOMA, Stryker’s Orthopedic Modeling and Analytics tool, which analyzed real patient anatomy from arthritic ankle CT scans in the Prophecy® database. SOMA was used to study bone quality and optimize implant location.

Further insights were gained from more than 80,000 Prophecy scans.1

A harmonized continuum

Incompass allows seamless switching between peg and stemmed implants, with a low-profile, bone preserving approach.

Elevated by Adaptis

Incompass implements Adaptis Boney Ingrowth Technology across all implant components which is designed to act as a scaffold that facilitates boney ingrowth, which can improve long-term fixation.2

Surgeon-centric design

Designed with insights from 100,000 total ankle cases1, the Incompass instrumentation is refined for precision, efficiency and ease of use. The Adjustment Arc and C-Bracket are designed to deliver the stability and accuracy you count on, while the additional redesigned instruments deliver enhanced feel and fit.

Less instruments. More choices.

By harmonizing the system and streamlining the instruments, Incompass helps minimize setup and sterilization time and improve overall efficiency. Incompass offers a continuum of implant options which support versatility across cases, allowing surgeons to respond quickly intraoperatively to different anatomies.

provensuccess-img

Built on proven success

Incompass Total Ankle System was designed to mimic the profile and fixation of both Infinity and Inbone. The profile, fixation, and sulcus articulation from both Infinity and Inbone and the clinical survivorship (98% survivorship at 5 years for Inbone Total Ankle3 & 1.6% Revision Rate for Infinity Total Ankles at 2-5 year follow-up4) informed the initial design.

enhancedfixation-img

Enhanced fixation

Incompass offers a complete system of 3D-printed porous metal tibial and talar components, which act like scaffolds, promoting early boney ingrowth (often as early as four weeks).2

surgicalflex-img

Surgical flexibility

The Incompass instrumentation is designed specifically for intraoperative flexibility, allowing surgeons to seamlessly switch implant types to meet the needs of a variety of patient’s unique anatomies.

opefficiency-img

Operational efficiency

The system streamlines OR flow by reducing the instrument burden, enhancing planning accuracy, and saving the hospital sterilization time leading to a reduction in cost.

.

We applied the science of the Stryker Orthopaedic Modeling and Analytics (SOMA) system to define the anatomy of the arthritic ankle. We then merged this knowledge with the data and experience of Infinity and Inbone to create the ideal next generation implant. With Incompass, we have designed a total ankle replacement that harmonizes pegged and stemmed implants into a single streamlined system that is designed to match the anatomy of the arthritic ankle.

“Incompass is a technically advanced, easy to use total ankle system that surgeons can implant efficiently to optimize patient outcomes.”
