The Healthcare Industry Resiliency Collaborative (HIRC) has awarded Stryker with the HIRC Enterprise Gold Resiliency Badge — an enterprise‑level distinction granted for the first time. This badge recognizes organizations that demonstrate exceptional adaptability and performance within the healthcare supply chain.

In 2024, Stryker’s Orthopaedic Group was awarded the HIRC Gold Resiliency Badge, a group recognition achieved by just a select few healthcare companies. This year, our MedSurg and Neurotechnology Group has also been recognized with this badge — emphasizing our full enterprise commitment to resiliency within the healthcare supply chain now and in the future.

“Receiving HIRC’s Enterprise Gold Resiliency Badge is a powerful reminder that, by focusing on operational excellence through Lean, our supply chain is a true competitive advantage for Stryker,” said Viju Menon, group president of global quality and operations for Stryker.

HIRC is a non-profit healthcare supply chain trade association founded by providers and their trading partners to tackle resiliency issues for continuity of patient care. The HIRC Resiliency Badge is achieved based on a rigorous third-party evaluation of several key domains, including demand planning, inventory management, supply chain visibility, supplier management, risk management and operational health.

Our historical strengths continue to hold, and we have most notably advanced in adaptability, decision-making and resilience under pressure as evidenced through our:

  • Embedded resiliency culture
  • Adaptive planning capabilities
  • Proactive risk anticipation
  • Risk-aligned continuity strategies

“This award reflects the incredible teamwork across our supply chain organization, Global Quality and Operations (GQO), and all divisions,” said Brent Ladd, president of Customer Solutions for Stryker. “Our purpose-driven collaboration allows us to continue delivering quality, reliability and excellence at every level to our customers.”

Stryker’s commitment to continuous innovation and improvement is evident in our investment in Lean methodologies, strategic supplier partnerships and cutting-edge technologies. Our focus is on strengthening our manufacturing and distribution networks, helping us build a resilient and agile supply chain and supporting our mission to improve healthcare worldwide.
