Tempe, Arizona, USA – October 24, 2017 – Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions division (Stryker) announced today an agreement with Royal Philips to allow health systems engaged in single-use device (SUD) reprocessing with Stryker to purchase new and reprocessed Philips ECG leads for one low price. The Save Simply program is a unique way to simplify the supply chain, help drive down device costs, and lower the environmental footprint of care, expanding on the nearly $300M supply savings Stryker delivers to U.S. health systems annually. The program furthers Philips’ ongoing commitment to sustainability as an integral part of the company’s business practices and its vision of improving the lives of 3 billion people each year by 2025.

The supply chain is simplified because health systems can purchase new and reprocessed devices through one vendor (Stryker), utilizing one PO, for one low price. Additionally, they don’t have to worry about fluctuating reprocessed device inventory. All orders are filled with Stryker’s reprocessed SUDs first and supplemented by new devices, as necessary. The 100 percent fill rate guarantees predictable and sustainable savings while helping to divert waste from landfills.
