Serving those who serve

Stryker has created an innovative collaboration to bring its hospital beds — widely recognized for the benefits of safety, comfort and efficiency they provide to both caregivers and their patients — to those who have served in the U.S. armed forces.

In association with Alliant Healthcare Products, a veteran-owned medical device manufacturer, in 2008 we launched the first Stryker product for the veterans’ market, the S3 Patriot Series Med / Surg Bed. In addition to its technological features, this bed offers a psychological boost through the patriotic images incorporated into its design.

The initiative is a natural one for Stryker because we count many veterans among our employees, including almost 120 in our patient care and handling division alone. The Stryker / Alliant relationship adds value by creating efficiencies and improving service for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This highly successful collaboration has expanded to include our endoscopy, communications, craniomaxillofacial and surgical products.
