Reduce workplace violence: lessons from behavioral health leaders

Learn how an interdisciplinary approach can help create a safer work environment that fosters a balance between security and therapeutic support for care team members in behavioral health and beyond. In this Insights Huddle, a multi-disciplinary panel of healthcare leaders discuss how to orchestrate team-based approaches and therapeutic interventions to help minimize workplace violence. They also discuss how to align a human-centered culture with resources to facilitate support and recovery for team members who experience it.

The interactive conversation includes team members from Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, a not-for-profit safety net facility with 323 behavioral healthcare beds and services across outpatient and inpatient settings. The panel covers perspectives across the care continuum, including leaders responsible for clinician wellbeing, nursing, quality and security.
