In honor of National Nurses Month in May, we hosted an Insights Huddle focused on the importance of nurse safety and wellbeing. At the heart of patient care, nurses face unique challenges that impact their psychological, emotional and physical safety.
Our expert panel of nurses discussed causes and consequences of cognitive overload, moral injury, workplace violence and more. They also explored potential solutions and the three pillars of care team safety to help foster a safer future of healthcare.
Attendees also learned how to advance nurse safety through human-centered leadership, trauma informed care and protecting the values and ethics of nurses and health systems.
