πdrive® Motor

At the core of this drill is our industry-exclusive πdrive Technology—a re-imagined motor that reconfigures internal components to create efficient, lightweight power and performance.

We’ve replaced the nonfunctioning steel core in conventional motors with magnets in a “pie” configuration that use space efficiently and reduce the size of the overall housing. Instead of traditional round wiring looped around the core, we’ve used flat wiring that completely encases it. The result is a light, powerful motor that is designed to run long and disperses heat faster.

Powered by CORE—
our integrated OR solution

The Consolidated Operating Room Equipment (CORE) 2 Console is designed as a convenient, single control center for a multitude of powered instruments.

Our console is designed with features and software which help you get the most out of Stryker drills and powered instruments. And its universal compatibility streamlines your capital investment, workspace and product training.

It gives you the opportunity to regulate drill response and performance to deliver the tactile feel you want. The I.D. Touch Software will save your preference and the CORE 2.0 Console will be ready to use when you are.

I.D. Touch Software
A difference you can feel

An intuitive touch is one of a surgeon’s greatest assets, and our exclusive I.D. Touch Software aims to support this. Integrated into our CORE Console power source, I.D. Touch Software lets you adjust torque from 0 to 100 percent to customise how your electric drill responds when pressure is applied during use – from low to high sensitivity – redefining performance to your liking.

The result is instrumentation that is designed to respond to the exact pressure you prefer. Once you’ve set your preferences, they can be saved permanently. Your instruments will then perform to your specifications, every patient, every procedure.
