Stryker’s VariAx 2 MIS Calc set includes 5 low profile plating options that are non-side specific. Making them interchangeable between the left and right calcanei. The set also includes dedicated prep instrumentation and targeting guide. Designed to be used with VariAx 2 T10 instrumentation and screw system.

Screws and instrumentation
The VariAx 2 Foot plating system features a range of low-profile plate and screw options in 2.4mm, 2.7mm and 3.5mm modules. Plates utilise Smart Lock variable angle locking technology which permits polyaxial screw placement1. T10 locking screws may be angled+/- 15° in any direction for up to a 30° cone.
Colour coding
The VariAx 2 screws and instruments follow a standardised colour-coding scheme whereby the screw colour matches the corresponding instrument’s colour. The drill bits, lagging drill guides and screws are also colour coded.
Locking and non-locking screws
Locking and non-locking screws are available in 2.4mm, 2.7mm and 3.5mm diameters. All holes in the locking plates provide an option for locking and non-locking screws. If a locking screw is used in a compression hole, the screw can apply compression and then lock into the plate.
Locking screws are laser marked with a ‘dot’ and ‘ring’ marking on the screw head to differentiate them from non-locking screws.
