Data analytics Data analytics guide all our programs to turn data into insight and insight into action.

Now more than ever, healthcare is being driven and evaluated by quality metrics. Meeting your goals for CJR or other bundled payment programs, your deadlines for MACRA, or initiatives to increase referrals or to improve patient satisfaction, require an in-depth look and understanding of your data.

  • Data analytics will help you benchmark your orthopedic service line and/or group physician practice today and will guide where you need to go for future success.
  • Data has to be actionable in order to be valuable. Performance Solutions helps you understand your clinical, operational and financial performance in order to chart a course toward continuous quality improvement.
  • All of our data analytics solutions are supported by a team of data analysts. Together with your staff, we help to collect, benchmark and analyze your data to support your overall organization and implementation program initiatives.

Episode Performance Manager (EPM)

EPM is a web-based dashboard used to analyze and report on bundled payment claims data from Medicare. The easy to use dashboard allows stakeholders to quickly review costs (by provider) across the entire episode of care to pinpoint opportunities to reduce costs and to drill-down into detailed reports of key metrics based on Medicare claims data received.

  • Key performance indicators are updated quarterly to monitor your performance over time in the bundle
  • EPM compares case mix and episode costs for individual physicians to identify those that are exceeding the target
  • It provides utilization, quality, and average costs for post-acute providers to help manage preferred provider networks
  • It allows you to drill down into hospital and physician readmission details including causes, costs, and readmitting facility

Hospital Reported Outcomes (HRO)

HRO is a web-based dashboard to support tracking and reporting of outcomes and to help identify key performance drivers to support quality improvement recommendations. Understanding internal hospital data is critical to meet Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model (CJR) quality metrics (readmissions and complication rates).

  • Review metrics by procedure, surgeon, anesthesiologist, and payor
  • View reimbursement by ICD-10 code
  • Data analytics support by a dedicated Performance Solutions analyst who creates reports, reviews data on a quarterly basis
