Michael began his career with Stryker as assistant counsel in June 2008 and was promoted in December of that year to chief legal counsel for our Orthopaedics group. In 2012 he became deputy general counsel and then general counsel in 2013. In April 2014, he assumed the responsibilities of vice president and chief legal officer, where he established and strengthened our global legal, compliance and corporate secretary functions and successfully guided our company through acquisitions and other complex matters.   

Prior to joining us, Michael worked for several law firms and as an in-house attorney in the Washington, D.C. area. He received his law degree from George Washington University Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Clark University.
