In a key step toward our goal to be powered by 100 percent renewable electricity in our facilities by 2027, Stryker recently celebrated the completion of the Sunflower Wind project, a 200-megawatt wind farm in Marion County, Kansas, marking the start of operations.

Sunflower Wind is expected to account for over 70% of Stryker’s electricity consumption for our facilities in North America* for the next 12 years – representing a significant stride towards achieving our sustainability objectives and minimizing our environmental impact.

In a pivotal milestone on this journey, last year we announced our execution of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with global clean energy leader Ørsted. In collaboration with other like-minded companies, this PPA helps support the growth of renewable energy in the United States.

Stryker is committed to practices that create a better, healthier world. Recognizing the connection between human health and the wellbeing of our planet, we continue to actively explore similar opportunities as we advance towards our goal to be carbon neutral for scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
