Summaries of Benefits and Coverage
In accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), health insurance issuers and group health plans are required to provide you with an easy-to-understand summary about a health plan's benefits and coverage.
These Summaries of Benefits and Coverage, or SBCs, are designed to help you better understand and evaluate your medical plan options. They include:
- Brief highlights of the benefits provided under each Stryker medical plan option
- A uniform glossary of terms commonly used by each plan
- Coverage examples, or comparison tools, that allow you to see what the plan would generally cover in two common medical situations.
