Histology Process Incorporation
Histologic analyses of TissueMend reveals incorporation of the implant. The matrix has been populated with host cells and blood vessels. Over time, highly organized, parallel fibers develop. New tissue becomes integrated with host collagen at the margin of the original defect. The explanted TissueMend Implant is then remodeled and replaced by robust host connective tissue, thereby reinforcing and repairing soft tissue defects.
