AVON Patello-Femoral Joint Replacement System
The AVON Patello-Femoral Joint Replacement can be a clinically effective alternative to TKR for patients with isolated patello-femoral arthritis. It is designed to reproduce the natural patello-femoral joint throughout the range of motion and to facilitate tracking of the patella in the femoral groove. The AVON has been reported as a comfortable and reliable implant.3 Lateral release, using AVON PFJ, is not needed. Minimal bone resection is required for easy conversion to TKR if necessary.
