The new Dall-Miles Grip and Grip Plate are designed for anatomic reconstruction of the hip joint and help provide an effective means for reattaching the greater trochanter. The low-profile, malleable Grip Plate was based on data from a radiographic review of 150 femurs.
The design of the new Dall-Miles Grip and Grip Plate is based on the clinically-proven H-Grip and has the following features:
- Improved Fit: Diverging proximal hooks help to better capture the trochanter
- Malleability: Grip Plate can be bent for a better fit on the femur and to help retain desired trochanteric positioning
- Cable Integration: Chamfered cable holes and narrowed width help to decrease cable exit angle and potentially decrease fretting and breakage of the cable
- Stability: Rotational stability provided by straight distal spikes on the Grip and screw hole options on the Grip Plate
- Options: Extended plates in varying lengths to oppose the torsional forces of the abductor muscles on the trochanter
- Simplicity: Cables pass through and are crimped within the plate itself
