Vertebral Body Support System (VBOSS)
The VBOSS system is a vertebral body replacement system that offers structural anterior column support with precision fit implants created through quick, efficient cutting and modular end caps that perfectly match the patient’s anatomy. VBOSS is for use in the thoracolumbar spine (T1-L5) to replace a collapsed, damaged or unstable vertebral body or vertebra due to tumor or trauma (e.g., a fracture). It is also used in corpectomy and vertebrectomy procedures with supplemental internal fixation systems. The device’s sides are perforated allowing optimum porosity for fusion. The use of bone graft with Stryker Spine VBOSS is optional. The end caps prevent subsidence* or the sinking of the implant into the less dense cancellous bone and come in varying angles to help recapture the natural angulation of the spine. VBOSS’s cage cutter provides quick and precise measuring and cutting of the cylinder for proper implant to patient sizing.
Key advantages include:
- Enables millimeter adjustments
- Modular end caps in 5 diameters, angles 0 degree, 5 degree, 10 degree
- CP titanium cage is easy to cut, hard to deform
- Grooves on cage allow easy cut and proper fit
- Angled end caps enhance restoration of lordsis
- Optimal stability with cage-on-end cap design
- Comprehensive Stryker solution paired with XIA Anterior
