Adaptive Vertebral PEEK Spacer (AVS) TL
The AVS TL Peek Spacer is a vertebral body replacement used in the thoraco-lumbar spine (T1-L5). It replaces a collapsed, damaged or unstable vertebral body resected or excised during total and partial vertebrectomy procedures due to tumor or trauma. The AVS TL achieves anterior decompression of the spinal cord and neural tissues and restores the height of a collapsed vertebral body. It is recommended to pack bone graft inside the implant. The AVS is also intended for use with supplemental fixation systems that include the Stryker Spine Plate of Rod Systems (XIA, Spiral Radius 90D and Trio).
Key advantages include:
- Comes in parallel (0 degree) and wedge (4 degree) shapes
- Hollow implant has serrations on the top and bottom for fixation
- Comes in two medial/lateral widths, 25mm and 30mm
- Comes in a variety of heights from 7mm to 50mm
