Instrumentation Forms the Backbone of the Cable System
Dedicated instruments for trochanteric reattachment and cerclage have been masterfully designed for surgeon comfort; easier use for potentially reduced operating room time; better accuracy and precision, when and where it counts; and simplified case/tray layout for surgical staff organization. Chief features include the following:
Tension Retaining Device 6704-9-250
The Tension Retaining Device is an optional attachment to the Single-Sided Tensioner designed for use when multiple or sequential cables need to be tensioned to reduce fracture or extended trochanteric ostectomy at the same time using only one tensioner.
- Each cable can be incrementally tightened
- Designed to maintain tension without flattening cable or crimping the sleeve/plate
- Designed to allow cables to be retensioned as fracture is reduced.
Single-Sided Tensioner 6704-9-320
Simplifies cerclage with Dall-Miles beaded cable and sleeve
- Built-in calibration scale (150 lb. max.) helps to provide for consistent tensioning of every cable
- Slender and curved nozzle tip helps to provide easy access
Double-Sided Tensioner 6704-9-350
- Excellent for grip fixation with non-beaded cable
- Clamping mechanism helps to prevent cable flattening
Crimp Tool 6704-9-150
- Handles are designed to automatically release for consistent crimp every time
- Narrow tip is designed to allow entry into tight areas
- Ratchet is designed to allow for hand repositioning mid-crimp
Cable Cutter 6704-9-420
- Cuts close to implant, without frayed ends, to leave shortest tag possible
- Cuts in any position 0° -180°
- Tip is hard chrome coated designed for longevity
Sleeve Holding Forceps 6704-9-520
- Designed to facilitate positioning of sleeve onto cable
- Designed for quick and easy to use
Cable Removal Cutter 6704-9-460
- Carbide tips provided
- Designed to remove cable when explanting a fixed device
