Timothy J. Scannell was named group president, MedSurg & Spine in August 2009. The leaders of the Instruments, Medical, Endoscopy, Spine, Sustainability Solutions and Performance Solutions divisions report to Tim.
Mr. Scannell began his career with Stryker in 1990. During eleven years with Stryker's Endoscopy division, he served in various sales and marketing leadership roles and progressed to the position of executive vice president overseeing sales, marketing and operations. He was then named as vice president and general manager of Stryker's Biotech division in 2001. In 2003 he was promoted to vice president and general manager of Stryker's Spine division and later to president of Spine. He became the group president of Spine and Endoscopy in 2008.
Mr. Scannell holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
