One of the things I like most about my job is no two days are the same. I love the opportunity to compete. In sales, you are able to do this every day as you try to gain new business. I also love figuring out ways to help my reps grow their territories and careers. I enjoy the success of my reps as much as if it were my own. I have met a number of people here that I know will be friends for life. When you surround yourself with talented people, it makes you better as well.
My favorite thing to do is going to a meeting with a rep to present our products and services to customers. The great thing about our products is that they are designed using input that customers have given us from using our products in clinic. I love working with them to find out what they like about the software and then helping to get improvements made. This may save time or improve functionality in the surgeon’s day.
One of the best parts of being a sales manager is hiring new talent. I only hire the highest quality sales professionals who will keep our customers at the forefront of their minds at all times. Our reps stand behind the company 100% with our high level of customer service. One of the top things that can impact our deals is the quality of our products. Stryker has a strong reputation and we are a key part of maintaining that.
Changes going on throughout the world impact what our customers are looking for in a product and challenges they face. In order for my team to excel, I need to be able to help them support our customers in the best way possible. I love that Stryker is a performance based company. Without Stryker’s growth as a company, I probably wouldn’t be in the position I’m in today. I know that I will be rewarded for the work I do and it drives me to do my best every day.
