We are challenged with being innovative, on time and creating high quality products. In order to meet all of these objectives well, we need to work together, plan and execute. Experimentation and analysis are two critical tools to help. Early in the product design phase we start with proof of concept experiments. We learn from possible failures in these early experiments because by experimenting often and learning from these tests, we can create higher quality designs.
I love being an engineer. There are many real world problems that we get to solve on a daily basis. Our products are innovative, technically challenging and ultimately help people have a better life. I am constantly challenged to solve real life problems and I like the fast paced results-driven environment here.
Stryker’s growth has given me an opportunity to be a technical leader in the R&D group. Every year I’ve been able to attend training on topics ranging from project management, design software and problem solving. In addition to formal training, I have been given opportunities to lead several projects and have driven progress and contributed to Stryker’s success. I have been promoted from Project Engineer to Principal Engineer based on my positive contributions. There is always plenty of work here and Stryker does reward results.
I strive to lead by example. I am always willing to listen to others who want to learn and teach. I am committed to helping my fellow team members by supporting them and providing feedback. I am building strong relationships by obtaining a level of trust that promotes a good team environment and allows people to think outside of the box.
