Stryker Hand Plating System

The Stryker Hand Plating System represents the Next Generation of bone fixation in hand fractures. The extensive Stryker experience and know-how has been used to develop this state of the art hand solution product. It consists of innovative locking and non-locking implants as well as new designed instrumentation.

This system offers several benefits including a broad range of implants with polyaxial locking technology, type II anodization and an extended line of instrument options.

The new state of the art layout makes this system attractive for surgeons and medical personnel. The SmartLock Technology offers numerous options and provides more flexibility to the surgeon supporting the endeavour to gain an excellent outcome for the patient.

SmartLock Locking Technology
Unlike monoaxial locking systems where the screws follow a predetermined path, this technology allows you to aim and lock the screw where you want to place it.

The SmartLock Technology allows locking with angulation of ±10 degrees without the need for dedicated aiming blocks or threaded drill guides. If you chose to change the angle, it is possible to unlock, redirect, and lock the screw up to 3 times

Broad range of locking plates and non-locking plates
The Stryker Hand Plating System consists of a high number of locking and non-locking plates which provide the surgeon the freedom to choose the optimal plate design for every individual patient.

Type II Anodization
The locking plates are processed with a Type II Anodization treatment which improves the biomechanical performance and may reduce the incidence of tissue adherence

Dedicated Metacarpal V Locking Plate
This anatomically shaped plate is tailored to treat to the most common fracture in the Hand. The oblong holes allow you to properly position the plate in relation to the joint while the locking feature may provide the stability needed to support the metaphyseal region.

Low Profile
All plates are pre-contoured to conform to bone profiles for simple, exact, and fast adaptation to individual bone structures. With a range from 0.55mm to 1.5mm profile height, the Stryker Hand plates have a strong tradition as one of the lowest profile plate designs in the market today.

Color Coding
The Stryker Hand Plating System is designed in a most user friendly way including clear and intuitive color coding of implants and instruments

Titanium
All Stryker Hand implants are made of Titanium – the ideal implant material. It possesses excellent biocompatibility, it is corrosion-resistant and it features high strength while being able to be easily formed.

Modular Concept
The module can individually be adapted to specific customer needs. You can choose between several plate inlay options resulting in your favorite configuration for 1.7mm and 2.3mm implants.
