Radius Spinal System
For spine surgery, most top-loading pedicle screw spinal systems use conventional threaded set screws that must be tightened to a predetermined torque limit and are occasionally cross-threaded. The Radius Spinal System has a nonthreaded locking mechanism that requires no torque measuring device. Radius reduces the potential for false locking and cross-threading. This award-winning*, nonthreaded technology increases the speed, ease and reliability of connecting rods to screws.
The Radius Spinal System offers many distinct advantages, including:
- Small screw head diameter for reduced facet joint impingement and greater bone graft
- Reduced profile for better visualization
- Top-loading spinal rod system for stabilization of the spine
- Provisionally and fully locked locking cap for compression and distraction adjustments
- Telescoping cross connector with angled locking plugs for cross-wound tightening
- No need to bend the cross connector for divergent rods
