Accolade Cemented Hip System Product BrochureAccolade C Femoral Component
The Accolade C Femoral Component integrates well-established, clinically successful design features with the advanced technology to help achieve a new benchmark for surgical efficiency and clinical performance.
Features & Benefits
-
Dual Wedge Design
Addresses shear load at the stem cemented interface and increases rotational stability of the stem in the cement. The distal groove design helps to further enhance rotational stability. -
Proximal Macro-Normalization
Helps to convert shear force into compressive forces in the area of highest intended load transfer. -
Centralizer Options
Centralizer options are designed to accommodate either a Universal Distal Spacer or Ring Centralizer to match surgeon preference. -
Increased Head Offset
Offset options are available in both 132-degree and 127-degree neck angles. Joint stability may be achieved without lengthening the leg. These option help to enable proper restoration of joint kinematics. -
Proportional Neck Lengths
Proportional neck lengths, relative to body geometry, grow proportionally in size to accommodate a wide patient population, using a standard femoral head. -
Reduced Neck Geometry
Reduced neck geometry features a narrow, ovoid neck designed to optimize available range of motion, while maintaining strength. -
Head Options
A large selection of femoral heads is available in V40 taper. A large range of offsets also are available in forged Vitallium alloy and BIOLOX* delta ceramic.
