Stryker’s selection and hiring process is unique – probably unlike any other you’ve experienced. We understand that the right education and experience are critical to success in a given role, but while other companies focus solely on a candidate's resume, we also focus on each individual's talents and strengths.
That’s because we believe that every individual possesses talents inherent to his or her nature, and that people are happiest and most productive in jobs that tap into that natural aptitude. Once in that job, we give our employees every opportunity to grow their talent to its full potential.
For this reason our selection process is thorough.
Interviews
Depending on location and role, candidates may participate in a mix of phone and face-to-face interviews. As candidates progress through the process they will be interviewed by a variety of people including line managers, Human Resources and senior management.
Gallup Profile Interview
Short listed applicants will be asked to participate in a structured interview specific to the role being applied for that Stryker worldwide has developed in conjunction with The Gallup Organization.
The outcomes of this interview, coupled with what we have learned about you in regards to your fit for our role, will help us in an objective fashion to make the best selection for our vacancy based on talent. Stryker takes great care to hire only people who have the greatest chance of success in our organization. This interview will be conducted via telephone with a Gallup employee. This interview is only one step in our total selection process and while a very important part of the process, the ultimate selection decision will be based on all aspects of our recruitment activity.
Reference Checks
Generally towards the conclusion of our recruitment process, we ask for the names of referees we can contact to verify your previous employment and capabilities. We do not contact referees without your express permission.
